A virtual site for West Elk USD 282, E-School Virtual Charter Academy is a virtual program dedicated to serving K-12 students across the great state of Kansas.
Students from Kindergarten through 12th grade can succeed and advance on their own time and schedule that best fits the family’s needs and interests.
E-School provides families with the flexibility and freedom to decide when, where, and how their child is educated without sacrificing the quality of education that is received.
Certified teachers and content experts provide students with a safe and conducive virtual learning environment that allows students to grow academically and socially.
E-School typically offers a much more flexible schedule than traditional education. Unlike the one-size-fits-all system most of us grew up with, parents have the freedom to chose when, where & how their child will grow academically.
Oftentimes, you as a parent are in the dark regarding your child’s academic performance until it’s too late to do anything about it. With E-School, you will be paired with a State-Certified educator to form a “learning team.”
As a part of the team, you have the ability to structure your child’s daily routine, review lessons and monitor progress as often as you wish.

“Since enrolling in E-School, I’ve been able to focus on work, helping with my baby sister, or just doing daily chores. Plus, I can focus more on myself and my mental state.”

“E-School Academy means opportunity for me. This schooling has helped me achieve so much within my courses and outside of school. I have more time to interact with my community.”

“E-School has helped me in a plethora of ways! It’s helped me become college and career ready along with time management. I’ve had more time to give back to our community.”

"E-School Academy provided me an alternative to traditional public schooling. The program was led by dedicated and attentive staff who really cared about each student’s success and future. Their support and guidance helped create paths that allowed students like me to stay motivated and achieve our goals."

"It was the best choice I could have made!"

"My experience with E-School has been life-changing, providing the flexibility I needed to manage my studies alongside my personal and work life."
E-School provides a flexible, personalized learning experience for students in grades K–12 and adult learners. Through accredited curriculum options, certified teachers, individualized academic support, and a four-day school week, students can learn at their own pace while receiving the guidance they need to succeed. Whether students are seeking a traditional diploma pathway, credit recovery, early graduation opportunities, college and career preparation, or a more flexible educational environment, E-School is committed to helping every learner reach their goals.
At E-School, we believe that education extends beyond coursework. We encourage students to become active members of our school community by participating in the many enrichment and extracurricular opportunities available throughout the year.
E-School offers a variety of engaging experiences designed to help students connect with peers, build relationships with teachers, and explore new interests. These opportunities include virtual homeroom meetings, online assemblies, virtual field trips, special guest presentations, and monthly in-person learning events and activities. Students are encouraged to take advantage of these “extras” to enhance their educational experience and foster a sense of community.
In addition, Kansas law allows virtual students who are in good academic standing to participate in KSHSAA-sanctioned extracurricular activities and athletics through their local school district. These opportunities may include sports, music programs, clubs, academic competitions, and other school-sponsored activities. Students interested in participating should complete the Non-Public School eligibility registration through the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA):

Through both E-School-sponsored enrichment activities and local district extracurricular programs, students have opportunities to develop leadership skills, pursue personal interests, build friendships, and create a well-rounded educational experience.
